Bowie was named after David Bowie because of his rock star “eyeliner” and shaggy hair. Bowie is comfortable with people and other animals but adopters need to understand that there will be a transition period in which he is allowed to get to know the people, his new home and what is expected of him.
Bowie is calm but loves walks and play time. He is a little weary of men and warms up to women a lot quicker. Bowie is leash trained, potty trained and rarely barks. Since his brother Christopher was adopted, he has been feeling a little sad and needs a family to call his own.

The perfect home for Bowie, is a stable, caring, loving environment, that understand dogs, their needs and has the time to support his development and needs. No children younger than the age of 8.
A family wishing to adopt Bowie, needs to understand the commitment of adoption, financially, time-wise and in case of relocation, is prepared to take him with them. Bowie would be happiest in a family that has the time to spend with him and treat him like the rock star that he is. Gets along well with other dogs.

Background
Bowie’s mother was a member of a pack rescued from a field targeted by meat traders. The operation took a year to come to fruition and sadly some members of the pack were lost. Bowie’s mother was pregnant at the time of the rescue.
