“Yu Ta Tong Xing” Rescue Centre is located in Tongzhou district in Beijing, China.
Founded in 2009 by TACN Regional Director Yanli Liu (aka. Xiaoli).
This rescue centre mainly focuses on:
- Providing education and training to the general public with first-hand animal rescue knowledge and practical guidance.
- Working with local authorities to raise awareness for animal welfare and care for rescued animals.
- Working alongside many other local animal welfare groups and activists to help rescue animals, including housing some of the rescued animals.
- Setting a successful example to the animal rescue centres and shelters across China regarding shelter management and animal welfare;
- Creating opportunities for the general public to visit and volunteer at the rescue centre in order to learn about animal behaviour and welfare through well constructed programmess and projects, a scheme that’s supported by local authorities.
“Yu Ta Tong Xing” Beijing Rescue Centre is continuously fighting through the difficulties of running an animal rescue centre in the capital of China and is helping countless animals by collaborating with local rescue groups and individual rescuers.
Two permanent staff are working at “Yu Ta Tong Xing” Beijing Rescue Centre looking after the resident animals and providing them with their daily essentials and care. They are also responsible for the maintenance of the centre. With a current small maximum capacity of only 50 dogs and 20 cats, the operation of the rescue centre relies solely on donations, which will help the centre to meet the growing number of newly rescued animals and will assist in the care and shelter for these animals.
